As a Customer Support Coordinator for Energy Management Corporation, you will be solving problems in real-time. Electric Motor Rewinder Apprentice

 

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.
  • Test condition of windings according to EASA AR100.
  • Illustrate and/or document all relevant data specific to unit’s electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage, or intended serviceability.
  • Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment.
  • Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
  • Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment, including but not limited to: single-phase, three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, and transformers. Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
  • Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA AR100 and document test results.
  • Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems, and various handheld power and non-power tools.
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially eye and ear protection).
  • Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.
  • Perform other skilled and non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to:

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs a distance of 2 feet; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, grasp or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Panel Shop Production Coordinator

 

Qualified Candidates will be able to:

  • Analyze processes and recommend changes in work methods and/or equipment usage to improve labor utilization, production efficiency and department expenses
  • Create written procedures and document process improvement
  • Schedule jobs and provide leadership and direction for production staff

Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum of two years of business management experience in a production environment with strong supervisory and management skills
  • Familiarity with relay logic, electrical schematics and AutoCAD

The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of parts and will be a problem solver.   This is an entry level position and pay will be commensurate with experience.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Order and purchase parts
  • Look up parts for Generator Technicians
  • Place orders for vendors
  • Input new part numbers into internal database
  • Answer incoming calls from customers
  • Act as in-person contact for customers who visit site
  • Assist departments company-wide with locating product
  • Inspect daily freight shipments for accuracy and damages
  • Process and package items to be shipped
  • Utilize computer systems to receive and allocate inventory

Preferred Skills/Abilities

Qualifications

Senior Motor Specialist

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, test, and repair large motors.
  • Tests coils, armatures, stator, rotor, and field coils for continuity, shorts, and grounds and insulation resistance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures.
  • Be able to attend and pass our bearing certification program.
  • Assemble motors to strict standards included in our EASA Accreditation.
  • Test run completed jobs and take baseline vibration signatures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills and experience:

  • Ten years’ experience in large motor repair (over 500 HP) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AC generators, DC motors, and AC wound rotor motors.
  • Motor winding or machining/welding experience is a plus.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Be computer literate. 
  • Ability to communicate well with customers in a service environment is a must.
  • Safety and knowledge of high voltage test equipment is a must.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well unsupervised.
  • Have own basic mechanical and electrical testing tools.
  • Be capable of medium voltage work (4160 V+).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Answer technical questions and provide high level of support for the sales department
  • Provide quotations for customers on the repair job
  • Interact with customers over the phone to provide answers to technical questions
  • Installs new or modified drives at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications
  • Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives
  • Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs
  • Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers

Qualifications:
