Assistant Production Manager

The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for assisting the Division Manager in organizing and supervising work in the Production Department.

  • Analyzes processes and recommends changes in work methods and/or equipment usage to improve labor utilization, production efficiency and department expenses
  • Create written procedures and document process improvement
  • Plan order of jobs and provide leadership and direction for production staff
  • Assist in hiring and provide training for new hires and ongoing training for staff
  • Consults with engineering, sales, and service management to ensure the smooth operation of the plant
  • Understanding parts needs and assist in parts requisitions for BOMs
  • Responsible for execution of company production policies, procedures and standards

Electric Motor Rewinder Apprentice

 

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.
  • Test condition of windings according to EASA AR100.
  • Illustrate and/or document all relevant data specific to unit’s electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage, or intended serviceability.
  • Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment.
  • Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
  • Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment, including but not limited to: single-phase, three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, and transformers. Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
  • Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA AR100 and document test results.
  • Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems, and various handheld power and non-power tools.
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially eye and ear protection).
  • Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.
  • Perform other skilled and non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

 

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to:

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs a distance of 2 feet; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, grasp or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Duties and skills expected of the Electrical Motor Controls Technician include:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical motor controls and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Master licensee desired, journeyman licensee ok
  • Plan and coordinate activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems
  • Applicants will have strong electrical or electronic background, able to read schematics, mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and computer literate.

  • Responds to service calls, drives to site, greets customer, performs preventative maintenance and/or troubleshoots malfunctioning systems/equipment to determine the nature of the problem.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent equipment failure by replacing filters, motors, fans, belts, etc. on systems. Repairs, replaces, and adjustst vents and duct work. May clean air ducts to maximize efficiency and improve indoor air quality.
  • Assists in locating and diagnosing problems, assessing extent of repairs and describing options and associated costs to the customer and obtains customer approval for repair and corrects problems.
  • Assists with repairs of complete systems to include repairing, calibrating or replacing controls, switches, thermostats, transformers, gauges, wiring fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, piping and other functional components of the system.
  • Check condensation drain line to ensure that it is free of debris and draining properly.
  • Treats and/or clears clogged drain lines.
  • Orders and picks-up parts, as needed.
  • Contacts supervisor or dispatch to discuss any problems on the job, communicate call completion or order any parts that may be necessary.
  • Maintains and fuels vehicle and stocks the service truck with adequate parts.
  • Transports materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of tools and materials.
  • Completes all required documentation on services, explains guarantees/warranties and collects, records, and delivers fees to the office.
  • Provides product usage information to the customer for proper operation and preventative maintenance.

Position Summary:Plan and coordinate activities concerned with installing equipment, investigation and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and elimination future operational or service difficulties by erforming the following duties:
