    Corporate Sales Representative (Seattle/Boise/Las Vegas)

    Remote office sales positions are available in Seattle, Boise and Las Vegas for service out of Energy Management Corporation's Salt Lake City office. These positions would primarily represent our custom VFD and motor control systems as well as other commercial and industrial electrical products and services.

    The position requires exceptional sales skills including strategic account planning and relationship development. Applicants should have experience calling on consulting engineers, and commercial and industrial customers in specifying, selling and applying VFD systems and related power quality equipment.

    The successful individuals must be able to be proactive in developing new accounts in an assigned geographical territory. All activities and opportunities must be documented through coordination with the SLC inside support group using EMC's CRM database. The outside sales representative is responsible to initiate follow-up actions to convert opportunities into sales. Prior experience and sales success in the electrical industry is required.

    Compensation is based on salary plus a generous commission program.

    Electrical Technician / Panel Builder (SLC)

    This important position will require a hard working individual who can be a part of our team.

    Energy Management Corporation (EMC) is dedicated to preventing problems and creating solutions for our customer's electrical needs. Our expert team and our three divisions are what put us above our competition. CW Silver is our repair and service division, Motor Drives International is our manufacturing division, and Bob Green Electrical is our sales division. We pride ourselves on our strong team mentality.

    EMC has a full-time position open in our Motor Drives International division. Must be familiar with all phases of panel building (ie. drilling, mounting, and wire motor controls). Experience with VFD’s, PLC’s, and DC Drives is a plus. Also, any AutoCad or electrical design experience is helpful.

    Generator Service Technician (SLC)

    The generator field service technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, performing preventive maintenance and perform start-ups on generator equipment including automatic transfer switches. This position reports to the local service manager. Most people that get into this industry find it very interesting and enjoyable. Even the most experienced people will be challenged with the requirements of this position. The service technician will work out of Salt Lake City.


    Job Responsiblities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on generators and automatic transfer switches.
  • Trouble-shoot problems with generators and automatic transfer switches.
  • Diagnose problems using lap top computer.
  • Perform repairs to generators and automatic transfer switches.
  • Perform start-ups on new equipment.
  • Perform warranty work on new equipment.
  • Process required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for communicating repairs needed to both the customer and service manager.
  • Responsible for parts inventory on service truck.
  • Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of service truck.
  • Responsible for lap top computer and cellular telephone usage.
  • Responsible for tracking time and expenses each day.
  • Responsible for cleaning up after themselves.
  • Willing to participate in the rotating responsibility of a 24/7 on-call technician.

  • Required Skills:

  • Good organizational skills.
  • Able to work well unsupervised.
  • Able to work overtime, some weekends and travel out of town.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent human relations skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Good mechanical/electrical aptitude.
  • Able to comprehend and trouble shoot from wiring schematics.
  • Knowledge in A/C and D/C electrical.
  • Knowledge on the basic workings of a diesel engine.
  • Willingness to train in the company programs to excel his or her generator knowledge.
  • High School education required.
  • Trade school education in stand by power systems preferred.
  • Experience working with power generator equipment for a minimum of two year preferred.

    Independent Representative (National)

    EMC is interested in individuals with drives and VFD system experience to represent our Motor Drive International Division in markets out side of our existing sales coverage. Individuals considered must have extensive experience with consulting engineers, and commercial and industrial customers in specifying, selling and applying VFD systems and related control and power quality equipment.

    Commissioned independent reps with related experience will be considered.

    Receptionist (SLC)

    Energy Management Corporation (EMC), located in Salt Lake City, has an opening for a receptionist position. We are a 30-year-old and growing industrial automation company that sells and services electrical motors, drives, and generators.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and upbeat receptionist who has proven multi-tasking skills, strong secretarial skills, and pays attention to detail. Duties include receiving calls with a 16-line phone system, directing calls, scanning, faxing, data entry, typing, matching invoices with paperwork for accounts payable, data entry for accounts receivable, ordering supplies for the office, and other office-related tasks.

    Applicant must be personable and cheery with good customer service and strong Excel, Outlook, and computer skills. Excellent organizational skills along with good verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.

    401K, health, dental, vision, paid vacation, profit sharing available.

    Compensation: $10+/hr, plus a full benefit package

    Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an hour break for lunch.

    VFD Technician (Seattle)

    Duties and skills expected of the VFD technician include:

  • Plan and coordinate activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties.
  • Applicants will have strong electrical or electronic background, able to read schematics, mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and computer literate.
  • VFD knowledge, logic control experience, and component level troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Answer technical questions and provide high level of support for the sales department.
  • Provide quotations for customers on the repair job.
  • Interact with customers over phone to provide answers to technical questions.
  • Keep workspace clean and organized.
  • Installs new or modified drives at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
  • Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
  • Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
  • Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
  • Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned.
