    Corporate Sales Representative

    Remote office sales positions are available in both Boise and Las Vegas for service out of Energy Management Corporation's Salt Lake City office.

    These positions would primarily represent our custom VFD and motor control systems as well as other commercial and industrial electrical products and services.  

    The position requires exceptional sales skills including strategic account planning and relationship development. Applicants should have experience calling on consulting engineers, and commercial and industrial customers in specifying, selling and applying VFD systems and related power quality equipment. 

    The successful individuals must be able to be proactive in developing new accounts in an assigned geographical territory. All activities and opportunities must be documented through coordination with the SLC inside support group using EMC's ACT contact management database. The outside sales representative is responsible to initiate follow-up actions to convert opportunities into sales. Prior experience and sales success in the electrical industry is required.  


    Compensation is based on salary plus a generous commission program.

    Customer Service Administrator

    Job Duties:
  • Coordinate scheduling with various internal departments to ensure efficient and timely completion of C. W. Silver’s projects.
  • Communicate pertinent information with outside sales force, outside service force, and external customers regarding delivery dates, project progression, and the impact of potential issues.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external review.
  • Serve as a customer service contact point for customer inquiries regarding a current job or warranty issue and assist management, sales force, and service force in resolving potential issues.
  • Work with managers and team leaders to identify and resolve material and /or labor issues incurred during a project.
  • Maintain project reports through the life of the project.
  • Prepare and submit completed job information to accounting for work order closing and invoicing
  •  Arrange transportation of damaged/repaired equipment to and from out-of-area job sites. Work with project leaders to maintain appropriate levels of supplies.

    Electrical Engineer / Designer

    Desired skills include electrical and mechanical abilities to work on projects, designing, programming and supporting the manufacture and start-up of industrial control panels and systems. Five years of related electrical experience required. Any direct experience with VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, industrial C programming, UL508A requirements, NEC or other industrial motor control design and application experience desired. Experience with AutoCad and AutoCad Electrical preferred.


    Responsibilities could include electrical design and schematic development, electrical enclosure design and layout, submittal process, project management, assembly and fabrication supervision, quality control, programming, documentation, field start-up etc. The individual would work with our sales, engineering and production staff to complete projects on schedule at competitive costs.

    Electro-mechanical Assembly

    Energy Management Corporation has an immediate opening for individuals with electro-mechanical assembly.


    Direct experience in wiring electrical control panels is preferred. Individuals with a basic understanding of electrical schematics or prior experience doing lay-outs, processing enclosures and mounting components, wiring, testing etc. is desirable. Individuals with specific experience working in a UL508A certified facility building industrial control panels would be highly desirable

    Field Service Technician

    This position requires an individual with superior customer service skills and a strong technical background with VFDs, Ross and other solid state motor control equipment. 


    The technician will be responsible for technical service and repair of industrial electronics in our plant as well as in the field.

    Availability for on-call emergency service is required. Experience with troubleshooting meters and instruments including oscilloscopes is required. Five years plus experience with variable frequency drives and motor control systems is preferred.

    Generator Service Technician

    Responsible to trouble shoot, repairing, performing preventive maintenance and perform start-ups on generator equipment including automatic transfer switches. This position reports to the local service manager. Most people that get into this industry find it very interesting and enjoyable. Even the most experienced people will be challenged with the requirements of this position. The work is interesting and very enjoyable.


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on generators and automatic transfer switches.
  • Trouble-shoot problems with generators and automatic transfer switches. 
  • Diagnose problems using lap top computer.
  •  Perform repairs to generators and automatic transfer switches.
  • Perform start-ups on new equipment.
  • Perform warranty work on new equipment.

    The person will be responsible for reviewing and processing sales orders generated by our inside salespeople. In one of the company's most important roles, the receptionist represents the company as the first person of contact for our customers as they call our company. The manner in which the phone is answered can set the tone for the entire customer experience.

    Duties include answering telephones, directing calls to the proper departments, general secretarial duties including computer data entry, typing, and other office-related tasks.
